How to get around
Bolt & Uber The most commonly used taxi service apps are Bolt & Uber. These are often more expensive than the public transport. We also do not recommend these services if you want to get into the city center. This is due to the fact that Amsterdam is trying to minimize car access and going by public transport often goes faster than going by car. Trams & Metro Amsterdam has very good public transport. The best public transport to use within the city are the tram and the metro. A good app to use during your travels is the "9292" app. It is possible to buy an hour or a day ticket for public transport in the city. Other than that it is also possible to check in with a debit card (credit card is not possible). Tickets can often be bought in the tram or at the station. Trains There are a couple of big train stations in the Amsterdam area. There is "Amsterdam Centraal" and "Amsterdam Zuid" (both connected to metro 52). Here you have many trains that will bring you to other cities or that go past Schiphol. |

Are you staying in Amsterdam? We have created a list of places to go before or after the conference.
De Pijp
De Pijp is a very lively neigboorhood. This neighboorhood is only 1 metro stop away from the conference. At the RAI you can get into metro 52 in the direction "Noord". In de Pijp you can find:

- Vegan Junkfood Bar, a restaurant which is completely vegan.
- Coffee and Coconuts, a breakfast spot build in an old movie theater.
- Izakaya, a luxurious restaurant with an Asian kitchen.

City Center
If you stay 2 stops longer in the metro 52 you will arrive in the city center. The city center stops are named: Rokin or Centraal Station. We have created a list of recommendations for the city center:
- Flower market, world famous floating flower market. Open from 09:00 to 17:30.
- Dam square, the biggest square in the city center. On this square the Amsterdam royal palace is also located.
- Mr Porter, a rooftop steakhouse overlooking the whole city center of Amsterdam.
- The Seafood Bar, the Seafood Bar has multiple location (also in the Pijp) where you can enjoy all different kinds of seafood.
- De Laatste Kruimel, a bakery with some seating and take away possibilities. Here you can get fresh scones, bread and pies.
- Door 74, a cocktailbar in the style of an American speak easy.
- The Lobby, just behind the dam square the lobby serves lunch, dinner or drinks away from the crowds.
